Tonight I had -
Sainsburys garlic butter herb whole chicken. Has stuffing in it too. Diced red onion and veg stock.
Separately boiled and roasted potatoes and parsnips. Then put the stock in to pan and added corn flour and whacked on full heat to thicken up.
Stuffed now.

For todays Slow Cooker Wednesday I'm doing -
Pulled pork hash. Recipe off Sunday Brunch.
Slow cooking a herb, stuffing pork joint, doing Boston beans - Kidney and baked, chilli, onion. Then mixing the lot with the pork. Putting in to a dish and laying sliced potato on top then browning off in oven.

I've made this http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/9169/slow-cooked-chicken-korma.aspx about 5 times now, makes one of the best curries I've had. Tends to be cooked for closer to 10 hours by the time I get home from work, I'd recommend it

I use the slow cooker on a Sunday night now, cook a certain meat in it and use it for lunch the following week

made some bbq pulled pork today, should have enough for pulled pork rolls all week at work

Apologies for the lack of slow cooker photos, but into the pot added:
1/4 cup of cider vinegar
1 cup of ketchup
3.5 table spoons of brown sugar
some pepper and some chilli powder, can of French onion soup.
Cooked the pork for 9 hours, then poured out the liquid, reduced to a thick sauce on the hob.

Was gonna do a pulled pork, but I'm too simple to figure it, so bought one of the pulled pork meals from Sainsbury's instead.
Is it just a shoulder of pork in the cooker all day?

Shoulder, loin? I'll give it a go next week. The sainsburys one is awesome, but its 6.5) a go, so if I can do it cheaper it'd be good.

Just eaten it and didn't take a photo, will the next time.
Chicken, onions, peppers and a tin of chopped tomatoes then I just raid the spices cupboard. Only followed a recipe the first couple of times, just freestyle it now.
Casserole looks nice, think I'll do a chilli one day this week.
With stews and steak pies I just get a random bottle to throw in with it.

Do you add any extra liquid, i.e water / coconut milk, or just the liquid from the tomatoes?
