You ok Hammer?
You fought well. I enjoyed your debates but now you seem to have disappeared despite regularly being on here before the result.
Don't worry mate, probably for the best. You'll now end up with a shit load more power and still manage to keep a decent currency.

Disappeared
I stayed up and watched the results come in then went to bed and I'm still here. As I stated a few times before the result I'm not a Nationalist and I don't like Salmond. I wanted Scotland to be Independent so it could govern itself. The Country chose otherwise , life goes on.

Number of conspiracy theorists in Facebook is laughable
Videos of a guy writing on the top of a pile of ballots, clearly means he's adding no votes

Of course he resigns, as I said and many disagreed with me, he's a failure.
His goal was to achieve Independence and he has fell short. We don't celebrate failures.

He doesn't seem to admit it was a defeat though.
Until those new powers get implemented, it is.

Which they will, otherwise there'll be riots
It is a defeat for Salmond, but not for Scotland IMO. Its not independence, but before the referendum started No meant status quo, but they've ended up with more control purely because they rattled Cameron and Better Together. So Yes hasnt achieved its aim but it did win some more control and personally i think the right outcome has happened, certainly in the short term anyway

There are no powers Jonny, are we supposed to believe an institution that swept fucking kids under the carpet was going to follow up on a promise of new powers.
Sweep, sweep, sweep. The General Election is now the focus, Scotland has been put back in its box.

In the past I would have fully agreed with you but as I've said a few times to folk today, this Country has lost its balls.
We will do as we are told, the stereotype of Scottish people is changed forever.

No one will agree at Westminster what the powers will be, there will be a bit of resistance from Holyrood and they will throw us a bone before patting us on the head and moving on to the General Election - their real focus.
So in layman's terms basically what we have just now.

kind of what i thought was going to happen. the scotch people voted to stay, so why give in to anything. just seems as if the world is laughing at the people that voted yes, as a lot of them are getting really angry since last night.
