I'm not in anyway a motorcycle fan, I've never even watched a race and even i knew who it was. He's a pretty famous person 
And your analogy is pish. Playing guitar is a skill. Recognising a famous face is just being aware of the world around you. Unless it takes years of practice for you to recognise a face?

fucking hell, it was about laughing at someone with no real justification to be doing so, don't know why you're dissecting it like that. Think about it even more if you want to, I'm satisfied that it made my point so knock yourself out.
I barely even recognised him, mainly because I thought he still had hair. The bike's probably more of a giveaway than the picture of him but I'd put a fiver on about 8/10 people on the street not recognising his face.
