You need to cut out the WHOLE boot floor out mate, all the way to where the front of fuel tank would have been behind the front seats.. The engine will be in the MIDDLE of the car and the engine + gearbox will NOT fit between the chassis rails, they have to be cut out..

You've not even scratched the surface yet.

so just all the stuff from the front to the back? That would work but you need to stop the rear from steering by using tie rods.
You using a cable gear linkage?
what engine?

i rung jma who did beardys. they reckon near £10k to build a rolling chassis to drop an engine in! inc shockers etc obv.

you will have same probs chip had with his nova with the rear wheels having bumpsteer as using the front struts in the rear iirc. i made the adjustable bars for it when i went to help fit the new LET.

and as davey said....you need to cut from the vertical part where the fuel tank starts to the rear valance. and chassis rails right out. back of the chassis rails are only held in by a few spot welds....piece of piss to cut out

sand-eel I'm in stitches here at the amount of times you've asked what engine he's running.

Once more... what engine is going in this thing?
