Norway who isnt part of the EU, has to pay to have access to its single market, it was worked out that per person, it costs about 30 euros less to have this arrangement than the UK has currently being a member.
something like 133 Eur per person for UK, and 100 Eur per person for Norway
Go figure

Norway has no right of VETO, they are a special case though as they have vast natural resources, it makes no sense for them to be full members.

right of VETO works both ways, it also makes things extremely difficult to get through

And is very inefficient, requiring all 28 countries to agree before anything gets done with everything

It works very well for the UK, we've Veto'd 2500+ decisions and been out veto'd 50 times.

I wasnt debating why they are or aren't or should or shouldn't, I was highlighting that it costs less out of it

But they see less benefit.. No subsidies, no veto, still have to accept freedom of movement, still have to meet EU regulations to trade..

Its a democratic right that was drawn out in the terms of the referendum.

Would you be happy to see a parliament overrule the majority voting will of the people?

You don't know what people based their votes on, I certainly didn't vote on any of the campaign claims.
You could also argue the Remain voters voted based on lies.
Wheres world war 3? or the emergency budget? or any of the other scaremongering that went on.
