random pointless story about my ride today, had a old bag in a civic peep at me because she had to slow down and go behind me through a keep left barrier as i was going quicker than she thought.

I have two downhills on my way home. Both end on roundabouts. At least twice a week so far I've had cars dive back in or brake beside me as they don't account for my speed. Scares the shit outta me everytime.

Really need to invest in a helmet now it's my only form of transport.

Can't wait for tomorow in minus temps and snow. That and 700c tyres don't mix at all.

I really want an 800, but no way at the price they are sold at currently. A good bit if kit but that price is crazy, need a few manufacturers to start doing some similar things and bring down prices

Surely anything over a few hours and your battery will be gone? Strava ect seems to rinse my battery

I can have Runkeeper going for a full day and still have battery left. I left Google Maps on for a day once and that hammered it though! Guess it depends on the app

that but also using my phone drains the battery and sometimes i dont have chance to charge it before going out for the rest of the day so pretty useless really, tbf the edge 200 sounds like it has what i want with the virtual trainer/going against yourself.

Look at wiggle, they do refurbished harming units, a friend recently got the edge 500 for £113 with a 12 month warranty.

The edge 200 is only meant to be as good as using an iPhone, something to do with the intervals it updates at..

Battery lasts fairly well for rides when using Endomondo. Might buy a battery case on eBay for the long ride on Sat.

I've done over 5 hours on strava going round w2 at Afan with my old htc desire turning off all phone fuctions with juice left. But that is sat in a bag not doing anything else that whole time. I think if you are wanting something that allows you to follow routes then unfortunatly I don't think phones are quite up to it power wise

should have enough charge tbh I will do on mine I'd say as the people that drain it most with text messages will be able to be communicated to via no devices!
