well... just signed up for the Ruby bike ride on 19th May for dougie mac, will be my first major ride, had the option of 10miles/50miles/110miles... guess on which one i went with   ... thats right 110 (my furthest ride to date is 22miles so got alot of practice to do.
and if that wasnt enough... 2-4 days later I will be doing a upto 10miles run for same charity through work.

got 30 miles in today while the sun was out ... starting to feel pretty good on the bike now over that distance. Im going to try and keep to that kind of route but get the average speed up rather than going longer at the moment.... also another 3lbs have gone over the last week which is good news.
Convinced myself that if I can get some good. cold weather miles in over the next few months that will warrant £1000 cycle to work scheme purchase when/if the summer arrives
Think I might get some shoes/pedals first though and get used to them on the hybrid - so im ready to go when I get a proper roadie

10 am start i think. ive got to set off at 7am ffs. you best be in full pro mode cole or this trip wont be worth it.
im off to kielder forest tomorrow to do the trails there. gonna do the 20 mile red one that is actually 2 joined, then the 4 mile other red one as the view is supposed to be worth it. probably be cloudy and rain tomorrow though.

Did keilder forest today, well kinda but I must have missed a red arrow marker and ended up on a main road ffs. There was another trail so I went and did that to finish. Definitely think I missed out all the good bits pmsl.

Just got a trek 7.5 cheepy cheap on eBay. Will use it to get fit and get some miles in before I commit to spending £££ on a roadie

Just bought some Mavic Aksiums for the hybrid I bought the other day. Got them cheep ish of eBay. The bike was on some old school wheels which were shocking so these will do nicely
