I think Button can hold his head high at the end of the season. Consistently out performed his team mate (buy which you can judge a driver by a driver using equal equipment).
The drivers who should be pissed off with themselves are IMHO Webber and Hamilton. Both totally outclassed and out performed by their team mates in identical equipment.

It's worth circa €85m in the constructors championship.

And to add to that im pretty sure Mclaren werent aiming for 2nd this year. So they have failed. Button has failed. Lewis has failed.
No one at Mclaren should be happy with 2nd, if they are they may as well give up. It can be worth all the money you want but its not 1st, its not as much as what Red Bull have got.
Thats why i dont see why anyone should be saying "oh well done on another 2nd Jenson, brilliant" or "well at least they beat Ferrari in the Constructors"
Make no bones about it, no one can hold their head up high this season bar Seb. They have been absolutely trounced by him and RB. If i was Mark Webber I'd be taking a long hard look at myself too, no wins (yet) in a car so dominant is poor.

Mark Webber certainly won't be coming second this year.
If you switched the drivers with Red Bull/McLaren would Red Bull still be the winners?

Id say so yes. Hamilton has as much raw speed as Seb, if you get Hamilton out in front, he wouldnt be making anywhere near as many mistakes and would probably win the title. Seb would push the Mclaren hard, qualify it well but might struggle in races like Lewis as hes used to been at the front and not having the pressure of overtaking.
Button has shown decent improvements and would probably finish above Seb due to more consistency. Mark Webber would be battling with Massa for 6th place in the championship.

The only thing letting Hamilton down is silly mistakes, not a lack of speed.
He's consistently outperforming Button in qualifying showing who has the truly better pace.
Take out the collision magnet mistakes from his game and he'd be outclassing Button pretty easily. Thats not to say Button isn't a good driver, he clearly is and experience his experience is showing, but he's still not making full use of the machinery underneath him I think.
End of the day, Red Bull dominance is boring. They're actually worse than Ferrari right now. Watching qualifying has become a little pointless, as has watching the last half hour of the race tbh.
