Cheers Ben!
Haha it honestly wasn't that bad to be fair just alot of wriggling around, thankfully the jacks went nice and tall. Easily half the time with a set of ramps though but I didn't have that luxury, can't wait to drive it now and hope it's fixed!

i wouldnt paint even the bells (middle bit in those discs)
The wheels mate upagainst them and if they are not truely flat you are going to have issues...
Its most likely a very fine blow over though is it, so shouldnt be too bad?
When refurbing our wheels i always remove the paint from the inside wheel face.
Car looks good

Someone did mention that AK and when I have wheels refurbed I have the faces masked up, but I didn't think it would matter as it was such a light dusting?
Eck its great fun, just as enjoyable as a dry day in this car to be honest. Still plenty of grip available just have to drive it differently!
I had them done by someone who does loads in high temp aircraft paint but its a bit far for you lads. Quite a few caliper painting companies that offer a postage service though and they do a decent job, Definetly worth doing if you're not driving the car for a while

Had a spacer made up so my mirror clears the cage.
Bought some super strong glue and stuck it to the spacer. Also sprayed it black so it doesn't stick out so much
Finally got round to doing my brake ducting. Only managed one side asi went to play Bingo
The finished product. Seems a bit 'bodgey' with all the cable ties but it seems the best non permanent solution. Tested lock left to right and stretches and squashes together perfectly, just need a metal cable tie to replace the temporary plastic one holding it to the backing plate

Loving the ghetto brake ducts.
I like to think this car makes up for the complete lack of abuse mine gets, and makes me feel better buying track focussed components which will never see a racetrack

Apparently Mintex have got an airfield test-track fairly local which they have rented out to the local Scooby owners club in the past. I may give that a try if I get my suspension and braking sorted before the next event.

Got the Cups fitted to the TD's
My shock was due back from Germany on the Friday...the day I left! So I kicked up a big stink to KW. In fairness to the guy I was dealing with it was out of his control as the shock was in Germany and he was in the UK, but he was my point of contact so he got a snotty email. Worked though as I got a new shock for only a small amount more than I'd paid for the rebuild, result!
Put it together:
Corner weighting the day before we left, she's a whopping 1508kgs now!!
Nice early start, met my mates at 3:30am and got the Eurotunnel, so much better than Ferry!
Petrol stop
Nurburgring
Webcam pic of me & my mates in the RS & Corsa going for a lap
Little video from Ring, including a Scooby spinning out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf4b7cdAGaw
Then on Easter Monday we went to Spa Francorchamps for a Circuit Days Trackday
Was -8 in the morning but sun came out at lunchtime and cleared the ice thankfully
Some videos:

Fastest Lap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRBIuNN62ZA
Little session http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2eCUTz4SgI
Our Villa
800 miles driving was starting to show
Parked at the main Fuel station at Ring ready to go home
Sneaky pic under the Gantry haha
High mileage!
My gearbox woes got worse with the synchros giving up and I couldn't get 3rd at Spa so I cut my day short. It's better now it's cooled down but still crunches 4th, so I'm going to get another box but I've cancelled RAF Marham trackday on the 21st as I want to concentrate on fixing this issue as it's the only thing spoiling the car at the moment.

Anyone do a quick rack for these? You seem to have to turn the wheel a lot. Either that or it was understeering all the time because of the cold?

I'm sure it was a Volvo, it looked like an estate version sat in the middle of the Track not far from the end of the video

CSL one is slightly quicker I think, can't say I've noticed it myself, don't remember any understeer not on the Ring video anyway as I cut the first bit as was warming the tyres up. What do you mean I have to turn the wheel alot anyway, on tighter sections or in general?

Ah yes you can hear my mate laugh as it was quite tight given the speed difference to be fair I'd forgotten about that!

Erm Henry in the RS came back on Monday night, we came back Tuesday night (2nd April). It's an impressive car, I'm more impressed at how well it handles the power!
Spa was superb, I can't wait to go back in October

Ace, Spa is amazing - would love to do a lap there, not such a fan of the 'ring based on videos I've watched etc.
Did that Scooby blow up or something? Seemed to be loads of smoke - more than just tyre smoke!

I think it popped the engine yeah and sent oil over one of the rear wheels as it turned in, causing it to spin. Thankfully I made him stop driving. It still caused a MK2 Golf, E46 M3 & track prepped Clio Cup 197 or 200 to crash. In hindsight I should have got out and started waving my yellow hi vis, but I forget all the time unlike UK trackdays where you are supposed to continue!
