Think its nailed on that Juve will sell one of Pogba or Vidal as they have the 2 of them and Marchisio and want to move to a more 4-4-2 formation so don't need all 3, Marchisio is not worth anywhere near what the other 2 are...
Reports this morning (check out Sports Witness, superb coverage in a non-sensationalist way) suggest Juve want to offer Pogba a new contract as he is their most valuable asset given age etc. and will fund that + signigns of Iturbe, Morata, Evra etc. by selling Vidal.
Think you lot have a good chance of signing him. He's expensive and not a true DM (tho neither is Khedira) but I'd love to see us go after him having just signed Sanchez, 2 of them could really help each other!

As much as Vermaelen went off the boil he's still way better than Smalling.
If he can re-find his previous form he's top quality.

I always thought Smalling looked good when he played alongside Vidic or Ferdinand but poor when he was alongside Jones

Thats the problem, Smalling or Jones alongside an established centreback isn't really a problem. Putting Jones and Smalling together and its like they don't know what to do.

Remember Wenger bid quite seriously for him before. I don't see Verm ever recovering here as he will always be 3rd choice, at least Smalling could give it a good go. IMO anyhoo!
