What light have you got, Deano? I've just bought a Hope Vision 2 to go with my Cree XML from eBay.

I had KOM on the rockgarden on the olympic track. I did one of the first coached sessions there and set up the strava section for that bit so I had KOM until it updated itself and put everyone elses times on

Also, Strava do remove the leader boards of segments if they are dangerous. Theres a couple I ride through on my way to work and one I can kind of agree with although theres a cycle lane the entire length of it, the other is UP a short sharp hill in a residential area.

If people are putting their lives on the line for a strava KoM then they really are losers. They are nice to have but I would rather be 2nd and be able to ride my bike tomorrow.

Most of the segments I ride have been established a while and top times placed during the summer. Hasn't been much opportunity to touch them in all the mud!

Had a near miss again last night. Same place it always happens. Stupid young lass in a skoda trying to overtake me 30 yards from a min roundabout with an island at the approach. She had to anchor on and carve me up. Luckily managed to weave down the inside between her and the curb. Luckily I had read the road ahead and new I could carry on over the roundabout or it could have been a disaster.

I find when I go for a proper ride I get relatively few near misses. Stick a bag on my back and ride to work I suddenly become a moving target it seems.

Its crazy how inconsiderate people can be. Also, how dangerous. I have to go round a near enough 90 degree bend, which is blind in a car from both directions, yet I seem to get overtaken on it nearly every week. It will only take someone coming the otherway at speed and ill be up shit street
