Similar to Jamie notice people being idiots in cars when I'm biking work and back but out for a random ride doesn't seem to happen. I put it down to the angry work drivers as its those hours I have bothers.

Same really I'm better at cross country and obstacles than flat out over jumps. Confidence I'd say is most of it though. Only been doing mountain biking since start of February lol.

That's my only strength is the stamina. Maybe have a trip over end if April or may will see what you're up to near the time. Its only about an hour and half from mine.

This snow is horrid. Cannock Chase is closed.

Gutted because this is the first weekend in a while that I have not been out on the bike! I can't do much next weekend as the parents are coming to visit.

Might try taking a day off in the week to go hit a trail centre

Havent been on the bike for 3 weeks because I went on holiday for 2 of them and didn't think it was fair on myself to land on a Sunday and get on the bike on Monday.... so after being raped by fuel bills it looks like I will be back on the bike tomorrow, -1 the weather says at 8am, can't wait

me and couple of mates just did the nearest one to carlisle which is newcastleton in the snow. was alright really just a lot slower on the downhill bit at the end. i managed to eject myself from the bike over the handlebars. good fun for all. freezing cold 15mph winds in the open bits though sucked a lot.

I've ordered some stuff to change my commuter bike into single speed. Sitting in the cold and rain every day has taken it's toll. Want something a requiring a little less maintenance and hopefully it may improve fitness

Not sure why you would do that? Why not just not change gear

What do you mean just change gear? My commuter bike sits outside for 8 hours a day through wind/rain/snow which means the whole chainset is suffering and requires constant maintenance. I'm getting rid of everything to reduce the amount of time I need to spend keeping it running ok.

Im still waiting for my Charge Plug single speed to arrive.

I hate using my road bike for the 3 mile ride to work.

Also meant to be good for strength as you cant be a pussy and use a low gear on the hills.

Yeah, looking forward to the challenge! Not seen that no, but then I have hardly been out at all recently. No chance at that though, even if I clocked up every commute!

Normal road bike size wheels.

I will only be using it for commuting to work, theres nothing on my normal route that would be too much for a single speed.

Are Hope brakes worth paying a premium for?

I really like the look of the Evo X2's but it's going to be about £300 by the time I have ordered rotors and calliper adaptors.
