Did you drive a VTI? How'd you find it in comparison to your C20XE?

I didn't like my interior to start with, but its grown on me now

Mine definately doesn't feel like it's the 130 bhp model I felt cheated haha... Though now it probably is running at about 132 ish

Gay gay gay... will have to get it RR'd to see, though I think something else is up with it like lambda sensor or some shite.

Hmm just seen some Kent PT50 cams for sale for £100!!

Ssssooo tempting. Would need a remap and would only really be worth it on a 4-2-1 manifold'd car... and would cost a lot to get fitted but still ... Brrrmm brrmm...

My mate has had his standard cams reprofiled and then a live remap plus his LAD 160 conversion and manifold that he allready had on the car. It runs like a bag of nails when its ticking over but its fucking rapid!

There's a guy who's car was a 120 bhp model Gti (he had it rolling roaded early on)

and with de cat exhaust system (standard exhaust manifold though), ecosse air filter, Kent Pt50 Cams, fuel regulator, and a dastek unichip remap his car is running 152 bhp @ 6752 rpm. with 126 lb ft of torque.

Not bad. Should do flat 15 / high 14's no probs.

Nice enough cars but the interior is fucking awful and they dont look like the top of the range model. Where as the GTi has the nicer interior and subtle styling.

Just my 2 cents

few little tweeks and u can see good gains out of these engines

thats the only real positive things i can say about them lol

apart from that they splutter occasionally unless ur lucky and there common for ABS light coming on.although u will enjoy driving it i bet in 4 months time u will say ' i wish i still had my corsa ' quote that lol

Hehe I saw you do a post on SSC saying 'how can I tell the difference between 120 + 130 bhp engine' named 'RedSport' and people just ripped into you

Apart from the leather I prefer the interior of the Saxo - like the dash is curved. In the 106 Gti the dash is all square

just a few things i have noticed from mine, and from reading a few sites seems to be minor probs with the range

ur sun roof might leak once or twice if your power washing the car

it will for no reason at idle just dip well down and feel like its about to cut out... it wont

and you fuel gage may die from time to time, but the warning light for low tank still works fine
