also, you don't necassarily need pins, you can use a spring catch, however it is slightly risky if it does pop theres no safety catch!

I would use pins as wouldn't want to risk damaging the bonnet, cracking the windscreen and dinting the roof if worst came to the worst!

dude, pins, seriously, you will need em.

everyone saying no pins is probably saying it as it will look 'tacky' and 'chav' like.

hey, i wouldnt want a 300 quid bonnet comming through me windscreen and chopping me head off, nice weave or not.

its just basically about where the std latch etc goes back on. grp or fibreglass isnt as string as metal, so, in theory, enough wind trying to lift the bonnet could break the fibreglass

Nice tubs for the pins, but how would you get the water out when it's rains?

I went with alloy backed when I did mine to help strength the pin base.
Also use some rubber piping to sit under to get the height right and to cushion the bonnet so it doesn't crack

i had pins on my last car's fiberglass bonnet, didnt look too bad at all.

i have had no problems with cracking the bonnet and its been on a while now, didnt crack when i took my caveman stylee drill action to it either
