i reckon the corrado VR6 will beat a CTR, pug 106 gti and a corsa with chav conversion round a track

maybe the ITR would give it some competition, but i'll waste the others while looking good at the same time, also riding in luxury with heated leather and air con

Hellooooooo, non unt Type r owner here with opinion.

Okay I had a corsa first and I still have a soft spot but the handling is not that of the ctr. I'd be pretty dangerous in a 170 bhp corsa as in a lightly modified gsi I was very good at pushing the car prob beyond its limits (made the rear tyres go bald). The CTR I can push a hell of alot further without having the car slide apart from in the wet, but I think everyone knows a ctr in the wet is dangerous

As for the speed said it time and time again. Off the lights most things INC GRANNIES will do me but as soon as I'm out of first gear and working the VTEC bye bye 106. I'm only running about 210bhp so not alot different to standard ctr and I always get 106 gti's driving dangerously and I always leave them for dead, but I know how to drive a CTR at speed as I've been taught. I dare say mr chav 106 gti dont know what the limit point is.

Alas most CTR drivers are unable to drive the car properly ( shame gives the rest of us a bad name. Also remember that for every type R on the road there is a type s or similar badged as type R. There are at least 3 sports in southend that have been made to look like type R's.

yeah the differences will be minimal, no way will a ctr leave one for dead, like i said before maybe edge away slowly but not be left behind

not that vid again i reckon if they tested it against the LCR 225 the leon woulda won

The reason the CTR only has "average" toque is because it's an N/A. It's still a quick car whatever way you look at it.

Give me tight bends, roundabouts, and I dont get the 106 gti getting too close. I like to use road layouts to my adavantage, and cant say I've ever had one overtake me and I live in southend so you can imagine the amount of cars that try it on all the time. If I can just (it was just) keep an rx8 at bay I'm not going to worry about a 106 am I?

I had one on Sunday all over my arse nearly hitting me, but it was 30mph limit in a built up area so I just slowed to 20mph and positioned the car so he had no hope of getting past. Im a bugger, but nearly hitting a car up the arse to get it's a attention is plain stupid
