shame i cant rustle up the money quickly enough that would do....

my mum thinks its a good idea too, which is nice.... BUT, she wants me to get the numberplate off the car first how the fuck do i do that? it needs to be registered on the road

i know. she cant grasp that
i've told her that i'm not keeping the shell JUST for the numberplate, but she bought it for my 18th, so she's not keen on it going and me never getting it back

205s are ideal, they come cheap, parts are easily available, theyre light and quick.

Ring the DVLA & shout at them??? Your the one thats pulled their car to bits into an unservicable state.....where does the blame lie?? Put all the stuff back in your car, fix the engine cheap - mot - sell. then start again with something else if so desired!!! Your jumping from one thing into something else here without much thought....or funds.....imo

i cant fix the engine i dont have one.

to get it back on the road, i need about 1500 quid, which i'm not gonna spend on the car, just to sell it, just to get the plate off

It made me feel very special in deed. I mean it though mate, you cant go wrong with a 205, TBH I think if you get any other car youll regret not getting a 205 just for the market on parts and tuning options readily available.

Those would be my two choices.... in that order.... on a budget!

I got my 1.9 GTi for 400....

spent on
300 cage
100 seats
120 harnesses
200 rear beam
200 suspension
80 braces
150 exhaust
10 manifold (std)

A newer car will cost more in the long run i think... If you get a TU 16v you'll no doubt want TB's on it.... ££££

If you brake the 1.6/1.9 8v you can just pop another in...
My engine has about 114k miles on it now.... and still honks it round the track

PS..... i have my eye on a nice black 1.9 GTi down in Dorset. The guy isnt being too forthcoming with my questions and requests for pics... but from what i can tell its just a re-con on the rear beam thats needed, and a bit of a hammer on one panel. He wanted me to view, but cant quite grasp the distance i think
It should go fairly cheap....

About 8months ago me and a few mates brought a 205 1.9gti for £175 there cheap as chips. if it was me i would keep it as standard as possible and if your blow it up you can always leave it at the track and buy another!!

thats not very intelligent.... dumping a car

Plus... with a little bit of thought, and money it will be alot more fun

If you buy a GTi for 150quid or so.... its going to have issues.... most likely a seized rear beam....
