The level of banter in there is 100x what it is elsewhere on the site, so IMO its a needed part of the tag line

I know, but if you decide on YOUR website to indulge yourself and have a section YOU wanted then how the fuck can anyone question it?!! It wasnt like you were banning any type of topics for your benefit, but sorting ones out to another sub-forum.

You clearly can't read Cosmo, Ian has already stated he created Snap Day due to demand, not because he wanted it.

I'm sure I could have complete control over a little web site, or less control over a big one. Option 2 ftw tbh.

Sports Day already means somthing imo, when you did the egg and spoon race in primary school.

I really don't see the problem with keeping it Match Day and changing it's description, as i said before geek day isn't for discussing who wears horn rimmed glasses and has a high trouser line.

tbh Im sure you cant, as I replied to your original post - before Ian even ventured into this thread - stating just that fact.

My reply, and point, was to Ian saying he didnt do it for that reason, and I was pointing out that even if he did do it because he is interested in photography, that at the end of the day its his website and he could do so if he wished, and anyone even getting a little pissy because he did so should take a look at the rest of the site and be thankful he bothered at all.

And as Ian pointed out about it not being in the interest of all if he did such a thing, I pointed out that even if he had done so, he wasnt banning a certain topic he didnt like, more so just filtering it into a forum of its own and not harming or singling out one particular member of this forum.

Exactly what I said, and used the example of CORSAsport, yet its basically a community website aswell now.

It just seems some people have a problem with agreeing to post in there as it is called Match Day, which TBH is just stupid.

I think the name has some bearing on it. More clarity.

I personally dont see a problem with changing it, but I also dont see why - seems it is still going to be majority footy chat - the few gym thread starts each month cant just understand to post in there, or the threads just get moved there if not.

Its not so hard to understand they go in there. Much the same with the FINANCE questions going in the HOUSE day.

You might be clear but I think simplicity and expectation are the key words here.

Just change the description then? Or go all out and change the name (although some people were saying it isnt a sport, so Sports Day wont work either).

TBH my example with House Day and the finance questions is fairly similar. Just change the description to include gym talk and hopefully all will be sorted.
