I told the guy organising it that it was too soon.

Its a really well informed group calling themselves Sons of Shankly, they have some very very high up contacts and know whats going on inside the club. But they formed this group only a few days ago (it joined together a load of other smaller groups) and I told them that they if they wanted to be taken seriously they needed to get the word out about who they are and what they stand for, and via that get the support of the majority of the fans...only then should they do something like boycotting the shop.

Im betting they lost a lot of support doing that at such short notice, and tbh its what they deserve.

I'd imagine they'll sign him asap, it'll go someway to keeping the fans quiet for now and a bit more breathing space. He is only costing approx £18m over 5yrs anyway, including wages, so this initial fee would be less than what we sold Sissoko for so I doubt they'll be bothered agreeing his fee.

His fee will be something like £3.5m when you take off what you would of paid in wages over the 5yrs, so even better value. But totally agree, he is an amzing player and think he has room to improve.

MOTM again today too.

Reina broke the Liverpool record for reaching 50 clean sheets yesterday. Did it in 92 matches

Pepe Reina – 92
Ray Clemence - 95
Bruce Grobbelaar – 109
Elisha Scott - 135
David James - 136
Tommy Lawrence – 171
Sam Hardy – 185

Wonder how that compares to other Premiership keepers?
