Well the Astra is bigger and you'll get a pram/subs in there the problem with the Ibiza is its based on a Polo which will hinder space.

The Astra is the same size of a Golf being a medium sized car.

Got a bloke supposedly sending me pictures of a false floor for the ibiza which would solve the sub problem but will have a hunt round the local vaux dealerships tonight

Edit - Only one local http://www.drivevauxhall.co.uk/UsedDetail.aspx?VehicleId=5788030&Model=Astra

I had a VRS (which is on the same platform as your Ibiza) on a weekend test drive then drove a sport hatch recently and can definately say the vaux is the better car.

Warren will rip me apart when he see's me say this

Is that Ash? (sportrider) His install is neat but can't have things rolling around in the boot as the cone it still open, could easily put some perspex in with some holes though!

For those that don't know, his sub box is fibreglassed to the shape of his spare wheel, so he can keep the spare wheel, then has a false floot hiding the amp, also has compartments for tools too.

this is another good build http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?t=286502

No, that was my original plan but just don't have the time to put into building it. There's someone on cupranet selling just the false floor but he's not sent me the pics yet

Im going to do something similar on my mk4, haven't decided about keeping the spare wheel or not yet, although with planned brake upgrades, the spare wouldn't fit on the front or rear!
