yes the biggest shame is that is battered to fuck, i got a quote from a good bodyshop i use who is really well priced and it came out at like £350 for materials and £640 labour as theres so much damage on it

Just keep your eye out on egay and vw forums for doors/wings etc in the right colour.
They are good cars though, for a little car very smooth

yeah but I need to explore the possibility of having both cars insured or something. In reality the Astra wont be going to germany until next year (or possibly the corsa shock horror) and probably wont see any tracks this side of xmas.
So I could just swap insurance, put the car cover on the Astra and decide its fate.

The only reason i'd insure both cars is if the Astra was used as a backup car if the polo fails, or I was driving it to someones unit to have a cage welded in PMSL

Good reason tbh, why not just insure the polo and do a dayinsure on the astra if needed ?
