why spend 5k then? My mint low miler 182 with all the toys was 7k! It does 30mpg and is so much fun! Get one, much better car and more suited to someone who doesnt have a house or kids under the age of 55

Yeah, I do, but they are still holding their price really well. And if I'm going to save that much, I'd want a Punto, which is another £500.

Kind of reasoned with myself that I've had to draw the line somewhere in order to get a nice, comfortable, reliable car that will last me, then start saving and enjoying life, rather than save save save for 8 months for a car.

Corsa C Exclusiv. Nice spec, bit more special than a normal C. Timing chain, not cambelt too so no cambelt changes.

I haven't read the other posts so that may have been mentioned already.

Turns out I did my maths wrong. My work commute is only 7k miles per annum

The hunt for an Exclusiv begins.

So thats the only time you use your car??Travelling to and from work?

If so then i really wouldnt be spending £5k on car just for that.

£1k would see you with something reliable and comfy.

Well, I do more than that going to and from my girlfriends.

So my almost guaranteed mileage per year is 13,000. So I rounded it up to 15k for other leisure miles, because it only works out at 38 extra miles per weekend.

So yeah, I probably still do 15k miles. But the mileage I have to do is 7k.

But I only used to bang on about mpg because I really didn't have any money so every mile counted.

Now I have money though

7k a year, oh I wish I did that small amount of mileage. Live a little, mpg doesn't even matter at that amount of miles.

ive got a corolla tsport as a daily and its been spot on! .. i know it wont do the mpg of the 1.4 but its comfy well built and was cheap to buy compared with other cars imo oh and it has a chain so no cambelt intervals.

the focus is a good car but probably the most dated one there. but its your choice at the end of the day and the focus is a good car
