I like how painting the garage is a higher priority than decorating

well it's fine for my tastes as it is brand new bathroom and kitchen 1 year ago, neutral colours on the walls and carpets.
the missus' parents are driving down from scotland on friday to help out so her dad can sort all her silly feature walls out while i get to work on the garden and garage

Take your time with getting the place how you want it. Concentrate on getting settled over the Bank Holiday and try to enjoy the day. Got years to get everything sorted!

As deano states, take your time with it all. All my work has now stopped until around September to build up some decent cash to splash, plan and spend some time with family over the summer.

well we moved in friday evening at 6pm which was a piss take, but anyway.
got in and everywhere was quite dirty so we've had to completely clean the place top to bottom.
done all the painting and wallpaper.
my sky is getting set up next monday so won't have internet access until then, but will load some pics up as it's changed quite a bit since.
new carpet fitted everywhere.
wish i'd got a photo of the garden before we cut the grass as it was over a foot high :lol;
anyway, bye for now

before pic:
looks a lot more like a home rather than a blank canvas.

Love the decor, not to keen on the sofas, preffered the old one.
Reminds me a bit of The Jetsons styleee.

wasn't my choice. my gf's parents bought them after my gf chose them
they weren't my first choice but i don't mind them, and they are so comfy the headrests come out in 2 seconds so can change the look if we want to.

DFS indeed. i almost fell asleep on them last night. the arm rests are so padded you don't even need cushions/pillows

Where does the TV go? Kinda looks like you've run out of wall space......

we are getting pvc folding doors put back on as it gets way too hot in the summer. they will cost about 1k though so will put them up a little bit before christmas.
i like being cold so doesn't bother me in the slightest.
