Been to 160 a few times as a passenger in my Old Corsa LET, Twin Turbo GTO and a Jag XJ8.
You couldn't tell you where doing the speed in the Jag, the GTO took a while to get there and the Corsa LET got around 159 mph on a sat nav before the front splitter flew off and went over the car, it was time to slow down then

I knew when I seen you as the last poster you'd have been faster than everybody else Dizzy.
Don't have a mate that's been 15 thousand miles an hour do you?
I've been about 140 in a skybus and an mr2.

i cant help it my step brother buys fast cars and drives them as they were intended. Its a question that was asked and i replied with a yes... its not like i was willy waving putting up a post saying 'guess what ive just been 209mph in a gt2' is it?
Its not my own car so its not really bragging rights either, the fastest ive been is 185 on my R1... so shit off, knob jockey!

I know there is a lot of variables i.e. aerodynamics, gear ratios etc, but what sort of power would a car need to be able to crack 200 mph?

400bhp with a drag co efficient of .3 in a tvr tuscan s will just about break 200. so 500bhp in anything else is about right.

Depends on the car tbh. Bikes run 200bhp and crack those speeds, too many different variables

Going fast is more to do with aerodynamics than anything else, you could crack 200mph with a 200bhp car if it wasw extremely aerodynamic. Wind resistance increases exponentially with speed eg for every 1mph, wind resistance increases by 4.

152mph (ish) in my S3 with 1k to come - (Currently at "stage 2" = 280hp / 300ftlb)
Limiter in 5th in the old x16xe with a F15 so, 125ish?
Both on track of course
