I always thought that anything under 1500cc was in the lower tax bracket.

If its registered before 2001 that is the case.

Everyone does! From what I've read Mazda designed this engine which is basically a Zetec which Ford then used? But that doesn't really make sense considering Ford have had 2.3 engines for a long time before Mazda? Then a top mount with a fancy turbo which is the main reason the engine is as good as it is.

Mine is 228g/km.

I've owned for two years, driven 14k miles

That's just over 5 tons of CO2.

You could achieve that in a band C car by doing 20k a year, as I'm sure are people out there doing so. But it costs you £60 not £800.

I've put a new engine in my car for a little more than it would cost to tax your car for a year mental.

It's for the Mazda yeah whoever asked. 231g/km and the lower limit is 225g/km. FRS is 224! It is annoying considering my Berlingo which I do about 500 miles a week in is £190 or something, and this I drive once maybe twice a week and do 50 miles is this much.

If I was paying £975 for tax I would want the disc in gold leaf

Thats mental amount of cash for the MPS, I was shocked when I saw it on facebook.

Very clever of ford to tune the FRS so that it just scrapes in

I will stop moaning about paying £220 to tax the vts now
