Aesthetically for me on my old VX there was not really anything in it, i dont think either looked loads better or worse.

I kept it on for a while but eventually got rid of the hard top because it was worth loads of money and it was a pain in the arse to just pop it off for a bit.

Also, smashing it down an empty country lane at night with no roof is awesome, fact.

Love VX220's, they don't seem to have dated as badly as other Vauxhalls from that design phase...
