I used to say stupid things like I'd keep my Corsa and modify it to the max and make it mint as hell if I won the lottery. But then I grew up and realised how utterly ridiculous that would be.

i still think like that about the corrado matt

although i'd probably just get it rebuilt from a bare shell and keep it quite standard but with modern parts/equivalants

why is it rediculous?

Id keep mine and sort everything thats wrong with it, nice respray ect and get it showroom nice, Id never use it, Id keep it to show thats where I came from, and because of what sentimental value it has, Id even track down my old corsa if heaven forbid I was bored for a day

and to say its a waste of money, so what, nothings really a waste of money when you have 80m

Just seems a bit odd. I mean I love my car but if I won the lottery you could take it away and throw it off a cliff for all I'd care. I'd be away buying Ferraris, Lambo's etc.

An Audi A3 wouldn't even register on the radar

I'd have a:
RS6 as a daily driver.
A Range Rover to do the same.

Toys:
Caparo T1
Atom S
Zonda R
F40

Bikes:
Ducati 888
Ducati 996
Ducati 1198
Aprillia RS250
Aprillia RSV4
Aprillia Mille Factory
Bimota DB7R
Bimota SB8R
MV Agusta F4

Thats a cool £1.5 million odd as it is. Even if I was really rich, unless i REALLY really wanted it, I still couldn't justify over £500k on a car. I love cars, but you can get a lot of motor car for below this, without the badge or prestigious name.

But realisitically, if I won that amount, i'd be spending my time, travelling the world, and would need to build up a small collection for each property that I owned all over the world. Really, I don't know, but as long as its near a race track, and the toys I have can handle it, i'd be ok.

owning all these expensive cars for a long time is going to be an expensive thing, just garaging them, insurance, servicing, tyres, epic amounts. £80million wouldn't last long with some of the lists on here

i'd rather a dozen or so classics of my time and 1 or two new supercars

I remember a post that went on for a while that discussed this.

Something about in standard spec, the LET has advantanges over the YB in some areas of the engine design, but the YB had other advantages.

Was quite an interesting post. I think Chip started it, and as he was a ford and vauxhall monkey, it made for good reading.

If I had that much money though, the only vauxhall that would be even in the remotely possible purchase list is one of those VXR500's, or the VXR8 Bathurst jobbie. Nothing else would even come near cutting it. I couldn't modifiy a Corsa, why bother when you could just get a mentally track foccussed car to start with Modified twitchy Corsa, or Radical?

correct, but a vauxhall in a ford, wrong, so so wrong, and theres shed loads of people out there with ford knowledge on the yb, look at the tuners etc, and then look what we have, its mainly men called dave in a garage
