it just seems to make more sense to me, not only that you are widening the scope for even more users to register
maybe im not the best person to make this argument as i dont own a corsa

whats your main reason for wanting it? you dont own, and not interested in corsas so want a corsa site to change to suit you? dont they have puma sites

i dont want nor not want it, i think it makes more sense then trying to deal with two seperate groups of people, when 99% of your user base is on one side and 1% on the other, it would even things out, be more cost effective, be open to a wider group of people to sign up, would solve the problem ian faces about making WR busy.

its up to you to make weekend racer busier. although you chose to spam corsasport instead steve. you are part of the problem. not offereing a solution as the site focus doesnt suit you.

Steve mk2 is alot better then steve mk1
I agree with ian that re-branding cs isnt the way forwards as it would be a loss. As alot of cars at shows or not its still the most active corsa site is it not?
Still think off day could be synched though. As WR doesnt have that sub forum anyway

Right then, my 2 pence. I think the way things are going this site needs to become WR to just stay popular. I hate to say it but corsa's are dying out! But I'm as you all know still massive corsa fan. I don't want to see defenatly the best corsa website in the country fail those new and current members who still have corsa's. The many years ago that I did a google search for corsa forums and found CS, I have learnt much and met slot of people. But don't get me wrong as CS Staff I'm one of the few staff members who still own and use a corsa daily. I got upset at TRAX through the sheer lack of corsa's. So maybe it's time merge WR with CS. Keep same domain. but label it as WR. I just hope WR can show at PVS. . . I'm still fermly fighting the corsa's corner.!

why not just rebrand both and merge them together but the name would need to be catchy and still bring in new members then cs/wr could still be huge and end up like ph etc i just think that most vx sites tend to be quite slow these days the whole pvs and tvl attendance proves this tbh so maybe of the they were merged both rebranded the scope for new members would be alot higher thats just my 2 pence and for the record when i joined cs i never owned a corsa and didnt own one till 4 yrs ago

The other problem is, the WR brand / theme isn't particularly wide either...
WR is for the niche of track days.
CS is for the niche of corsa's.
Neither are particularly wide markets.
I do agree with what all have said, I don't think CS should be re branded or anything.
Not really sure what the answer is so I'm going to stfu.

When people are talking about rebranding, think back a couple of months to PVS, club stand of the show, a stand full of Corsas. In the time I've been on here PVS has always been the busiest event, regards CS turnout and WR has never managed as big a turnout despite not being limited to one marque and all events being advertised through CS, surely that says that CS is still working and that's a pretty good reason not to 'bin it off'

no steve it wont. as a site for elite hellatrack drivers isnt what pvs was about? most the stand wasnt focussed on racing at the weekend?
you are wanting to exclude people that still like corsas as a car. thats what you are suggesting. again, if weekend racer suits you, go and spam all over it like you do here. make it busier. spread the word.
dont criticise a site about corsas because it doesnt fit in with you anymore. you chose to post here. you asked to be unbanned. why? its a corsa site.
ive made my points. thats me done.

To everyone saying 'rebrand CS' - I don't think WR is the right brand for a 'wide user group' site... same as CS isn't.
You'd need a new site name like 'pistonheads' ... something that covers all cars
but I don't think it should be re branded anyway. I think Ian just needs to cross post off day across both sites and we'll start using WR.

no im not, if the name needs changing to something else then so be it, but the two forces combined would be better imo

You cant really move WR back over here as it doesnt make WR look serious when its just a corner of a corsa site
You cant rebrand CS as then what do we do about shows such as PVS? There would be even less Corsas at shows like that as we wouldnt be catering for that type of car anymore.
The only thing you can do is be patient and let WR grow its own community, like this site did. It also requires action from members who use this site too to go across to WR and post on there more often, you can't just expect a community to grow out of nothing.

I'm in the situation where I can do ether and be happy so I'm not to worried, but I do not want to see the death of a corsa site.

No its bollocks, Corsa C had hundreds of Cs, Clio Sport had hundreds of Clios, MG Rover lovers had a great many MG Rovers, CS was not about the Corsas. And I felt sad.

Bs might be but if that were the case completely, All Corsa wouldn't have shown us up.
CS being poor at Trax is because CS has lost the way and others have taken the share.
Corsa C is massive, All Corsa is getting there. I appreciate that there are less Bs on the road but this for me is not the only factor.

But the userbase it has, has almost all come from CS, all WR events have been advertised on CS so how is making CS into WR going to affect that at all? CS have had access to WR events all along and even tho it's open to any car, it's never had the turnout of PVS which is limited to Corsas, so merging the may attract new people to WR but it's basically killing off another forum that is still working
