I hope they throw hurdles in the way now you've recovered the car yourself.
why? i had it recovered buy a mechanic who does recoverys, he just happens to ba a family friend though, it was either that or get the police to recover it costing £120, an it was the police that recomended i recovered it myself if it was possible
Yes costing £120 but insurance would cover that. wow you are not very clever.
the police didnt say that last night, i was advised to get it recovered myself by the police so thats what i did, does it matter who recovered it i got it home an thats all that matters
i also recovered my car myself. £120 is a lot when the insurance company would take forever to pay out had the other guy not admitted fault at the scene.

the claim manage company that deals with you will sort all that out for you and the bill will go to the other parties insurance company
This is genuinely what puts insurance up.
Why did you go through a claim management company and not just let the insurance deal with it, considering that's what they are there for
Why shouldn't I? For both my claims I used a claim management company and it made the whole experience at lot less stressful and easier. Anyone who doesn't use one because they're worried about 'putting everyone else insurance up' is a fool imo. If I'm unfortunate enough to have any more accidents in the future I will continue to use a claim management company
i done the same as you shaun, but only because they phoned me up while i was till half asleep and actually thought it was my insurance company
it doesn't actually put your insurance up as when you tell another insurance company about the accident, they don't ask whether you used a claim management company to sort it out.
it probably put's everyones up by about a penny or so
It doesn't put your insurance up directly because you used a claim management company, it puts all insurance up because they are worse than the ambulance chasing lawyers.
When the other side has admitted fault, which lets be honest is the only time you'd use one, you wouldn't be shafting your own insurance, the insurance company does EXACTLY the same as a claim management company except they don't charge 100 a day hire and the rest.

with all my non fault claims my insurance company sorted it out for me no problem
what does a claim management company help in the process (genuine question)

Claim management companies are a big con. Nothing that you can't sort out yourself. Just puts the price up. Ultimately someone is paying for it.

i'm guessing the do all the phoning around and sorting out paperwork and shit?
was only stressful because the woman who drove into the back of me wouldn't admit fault until they threatened her insurance company with court.

What phoning around?
Establishing liability is the job of your insurer.
They are a con. If they were useful I would use one. They are not useful.
