when my sister got one it was rare to see one. i useto send her photos of them to prove id seen another.
she got rid of it thou as it was crap on fuel, leaked oil. and when she was on the motorway overtaking it cut out!

yeah, i remember in 2002 driving my GF's 1 litre micra and was impressed at how quickly you could pull out from a parking space and get up to speed in the 30mph zone.

My dad in his old 110 Land Rover used to get this all the time. Anyone in an old ford gives me the thumbs up in my mk2 fiesta.

Impreza is probably the most prolific car for this. Have had 3 scoobies now and you get it from 90% of other Subaru drivers. As already mentioned its a friendly gesture in what is a pretty miserable grumpy Britain.

Colin you have a bright bogey green Focus that is worshipped by Chavs and stands out a mile. You must have known it was going to get all manner of attention, positive and negative.

the whole street comes to a standstill and everyone points.

pulls a big crowd where ever you stop, dunno if thats just because its army camo still
