cheap kids bikes these days are made from scaffolding  i nearly pulled myself into the bike the first time i went to lift this tiny kids bike with stabalisers

i actually had an incident this morning. a colleague was approached by someone who saw me cross over the roundabout into our work's drive. said i was "tonking" over the roundabout without looking.
1) if i was tonking (btw great use of the word) why on earth would i run the risk of not looking? - it is in everyone interest to be look at roundabouts and particularly at higher speeds!
2) it was a 30 limit and i wasn't driving over it until passed the junction (into nation speed limit drive to work)
3) my approach gave me loads of time to see all the traffic on the roundabout for a good 200yds or more before my approach and was looking all that time!
