You can still have plenty of fun on public roads. I know I do.

Do a track day, I absolutely guarantee that you will have more fun than driving fast around b-roads.

Even bi-polar Barnes who didn't see the fuss in track days has been turned.

i agree though, you can never push even a slow car like mine to the limit on a public round. You think you are or can, but you never actually can and you dont realise this until you get it on a track

I probably would. But a track (apart from Nurburging which is probably like no other track or road at a guess) will never be anything like the roads I drive on.

Like last night I'd been up in the Lakes and had a nice 30-40 minute drive home on some fantastic roads with slim to no traffic in dry conditions. Even in my car it's awesome. That is my kind of driving.

no i dont really want to run and abuse my hard earnt money in a car on a track thats all, can still drive it hard at the right times and there is plenty of decent roads close to me to drive it like that.

are we now saying people who buy ferraris and porsches and M5's have wasted their money unless they drive it on tracks?

Yes, basically.

You won't ruin it either mate, obviously tyres and brakes won't last as long.

Go on Barndoor, book up a trackday next year I'll come with you and touch your anus.

no i have absolutely no objection to people that do trackdays and i completely see the appeal to people who do it.

however it just does not appeal to me, i dont want to drive the car like a nutter around a track with other people, i only live couple of miles from work which means i dont put massive mileage on it and i can enjoy it at weekends and evenings if i go out.

Next time i come to Revs in Reading we can rub tacos

I would say i have had more fun on country roads. I do road rallies on public roades and the roades arent even classed roades. We pretty much only use yellow and white roades with some red roades.

Ive been on track days and dont get me wrong i did enjoy it but just dont really like the fact its perfect smooth surface, i much prefer getting knocked about on the rough roades.

Just picked mine up this week with PPP pretty awesome thing. Biggest change for me is the size of the thing... I came from driving a Renault 5 lol.

Shame A-Plan & Keith Michaels couldn't help me said because I hadn't had such a powerful car before... so had to stick with Adrian Flux @ £1300.
