Who gave you that idea?

Love it dude, and loved seeing you too. Wish I'd been able to spend more time with your sexy body

Imnusupression and radio therapy make that a but of an impossibility Will.

Always wanted one, wanted something comfy loaded and cheap with a huge boot.

Job done.

WELL I've truely put my foot in it haven't I

Seems like such a strange choice though, I've spent the last 2 months cruising about in a land cruiser and I can say its one of the most boring drives of my life. Even with electric everything and gooch warming buttons I get excited like a boy every time I get into my 58bhp 5door polo cause it feels like it handles the bollocks compared to the big old 4x4

I used to pootle around in my Dads old Range Rver when i was 21 and i loved it so much i just "get" the 4x4 thing.

As soon as funds allow im goingto buy another 172/182 as a "fun" drive, i just simply need something with a huge boot. I spent a while looking at alternatives but estates are never as big as they look and have awkward boot entrances etc. Plus they are sought after meaning prices for old 150k examples where silly. This came in at the right place/right time. Only dwonside is the enormous fuel cost obv, but i had already decided that i was giving up driving to work due to the time/hassle/cost of it anyway so it was a no brainer!

Im sure more than half of you are still going WTF but im happy so

i always get put off by the price of tyres on things like this, i would like a 4x4 or something big, but it wouldn't make any sense for me to do that

why do you need it?

sod tyre prices, while running the land cruiser it was costing £96 to fill it up and done about 300 miles to a tank because of the pathetic journey from home to work

Small update.

Clio is now gone, loan is paid off and Cherokee went to my local garage for a health check.

Have a small leak in a PAS pipe that needs to be replaced. 2 x ARB bushes need doing and thats it. Full clean bill of health. Greased up some joints and now steering has improved.

Not bad for a 14yr old yank tank

Avg. 17mpg round town, so similar to the M3 on fuel. Has been a godsend with carting post-op Mrs Jambo around as she is in lots of pain, doesnt have to sit "down" into it and it soaks up Englands shitty pot hole filled speed hump lawn.

Overall im over the moon with it tbh.

Plans for future are:

2x ARB bushes
New pipe
New mirror glass
Replace tailgate and badges
Remove stupid tow bar
Laredo grille
