So I use my MBP for downloading films/games and web browsing, a few games, watching films, paintshop. I starting to think a cheap pc tower and Ipad 2 could be the way forward? Pc for downloading and Ipad for t'internet and films. So tempted.

Thats what I use mine for. Most browsing at home, emailing and stuff all done off the ipad. Anything that needs typing or downloading I use my old laptop.
You might as well get an 'old' ipad now though, will be cheaper and handles films just as well.

Take it they haven't changed the resolution since it's not been mentioned.
I'd have bought one as well.

In all seriousness though... they'll probably do it with the next one.
Weren't there rumors that there's going to be another one released this year?

Would be nice if they put the A5 into the next iphone like they did with the A4

So in short, made it quicker, thinner, and added cameras?
Good use of "flummoxed" on the slide too

Yeah, I heard that too. September.
I'd be surprised if they do - guess it depends on how the competition picks up....

They will stick to once a year.
It looks like a nice bit of kit and very well priced!

Even if someone brought out something that was a million times better they won't upgrade until next year.

Think I'll be sticking with my 1st gen iPad, not enough new features to warrant upgrading imo

Quoted for truth
I'm almost tempted to buy a second hand 1st gen one now as they must be about £250-300?

IMO, I think they should go about offering software for other platforms that would integrate with FaceTime.
FaceTime is open source, apparently. Anyone should be able to develop a FaceTime app...

Apple fans spend their lives making these excuses then when they get that one the features that they didn't need are suddenly amazing.
New one is super fast according to engadget.

Didn't know that! In that case, I hope someone manages to develop something for the PC, or other smart phones
