CMI is the Chartered Management Institute who are the awarding body. I only deal with City & Guilds.
But assuming its the same.....a Level 2 is the equivelant of a GCSE and a Level 3 the same as an A-Level.
If its free, i'd take any qualifications you can.

Its Level 3.
Normally the course is around £1,000, but apparently the government funded some in our area so we got it for free, can't grumble really.

Get involved then..as I said any government funded quals are worth doing......funding is slowly being reduced and soon it will mean that employers have to contribute so chances of employees getting any opportunities will reduce.

Yep, experience.
My two years so far in the job have equipped me with more knowledge than the boss's daughter who works here who has completed her degree with a 2:1.

Sorry, that wasn't a dig at you, I know people that look at ym salary and demand to know why I'm on 'that much' when they have a degree and I don't. Errrm... because I have 4 years experience at the age of 21 in the industry that I work in and you don't perhaps?

Didn't see it as a dig really.
Just we seem to pay people who know fuck all about their job alot, because they moan.
Yet the people who get on with it, get the shit stuff to do and do it well seem to earn chuff all.
I go on the courses I can to better myself for my benefit and the company, yet have never been rewarded for it lol.
