P.s. I'm aware ecstasy is relatively safe, although not as safe as not taking it at all.

Water intoxication, also known as hyper-hydration, water poisoning, or overhydration, is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits by over-consumption of water.

been in the paper a couple of times about people drinking too much and dieing.

something to do with losing too much sodium in the blood. above my level of intelligence, unfortunately.

I've always stood by my belief that recreational use is acceptable even though its not for me. But since seeing the effects it can have on folk mentally, recreational or not, I'll continue to avoid. Folk run the risk of killing themselfs and make an informed decision based on that risk. No one really promotes the risk of leaving yourself a bit of a loon.

Media scaremongering! Not dodgy pills, just strong. Now that decent pills are more widely and easily available you get fuds taking 2-3 at a time like you used to have to with the shitey £2 ones.

Either that or mixing them with lots of other drugs etc, like when that MCat stuff was "killing" folk the papers were all over it, but didnt report back that after post mortems it was concluded that these folk had cocktails of drugs in their bodies which resulted in their death.

I'm well aware of the media scaremongering, there were dodgy pills going about, as there regularly is.

If it was all pure stuff not full of rat poison it would probably be fine, unfortunately dealers aren't too bothered about your welfare.

in comparison to the amount of people who do pills the death rate is FAR lower, many more people die taking alcohol or smoking or dying from being overweight (diabetes etc)

i guess anyone could have an allerigc reaction to anything but its proven ecstasy is one of the safest drugs to be taken

also this rat poison malarky is just crap, if people think that the manufacturers of these pills deliberately use poison or other such things when they can use safer fake ingredients then they are deluded.

worst case scenario in most cases is if you have a dodgy pill you will probably have a stomach ache or be sick

and most people who say they are dangerous or they dont see the point in taking them have never taken them or have no experience of it

best thing is just to not take them at all then and not be known as a druggy and actually have some self respect and respect for others.
