You need to read AKs thread in general chat to get the idea/joke.

may have gone off topic now but...
im qualified and iv offered to work for no wage in all my local garages, tried about 7 or 8 places and they all say the same things...
1. "cant take you for insurance purposes, you'd have to be on the pay roll with us.."
2. "3 ramps, 3 lads, ne chance pal"
so iv settled for stacking shelves for now lol
things are looking up though as the lads who build stock cars (champions) have said i can come up and practise my welding and other stuff, said "i wont be able to give you much mind" i said "don't give me nowt, im grateful for the experience as im only part time at asda" (sick of licking ass to get more hours now)

well iv been training for about 2 years in college and have done Level 1 and 2 plumbing while looking for a apprenticeship and have had no luck for about a year and half constantly sending E-mail's and Letters and going to company's hearing false promises from employer's saying we will call you etc so im giving up gonna study Level 2 engineering re-do my maths to a higher grade and go to Uni to study engineering, hopefully within a year or so.
already have a Uncle who said he will take me on part time for his construction company if i do it and i can earn a uBer wage compared to the average plumbing one so im looking forward to it

On paper i only have a Level 2 SVQ, but have 7 years experience so i have to say experience has helped on my part.
I work full time on cars but also do work in a motorcycle dealers on my days off, as i started out working on motorbikes, much better job if you can get into it (As far as jobs on the tools go)

saying that it seems that for even shit jobs in high street stores you need experience so me labouring on site and never doing a sales job is proving difficult to find even a christmas temp job

Experience is unfortunately a massive part of getting a job in the motortrade..
the last couple of jobs i have been for they were far more interested in my 9 years VAG experience than the level 3 NVQ and BTec that i have
My advise would be keep trying garages for experience - even Kwik shit - you have to start somewhere and if you had done an apprenticeship you would have done all the crap jobs anyway - you can always find somewhere else better suited to your wants and needs while you are working gaining experience..
Beggers cant be choosers
Good luck fella - hope you find something

Will be a result if you can get into an audi dealer - VAG experience is quite sought after so im told
Good luck
