nah mate i'm fine, just made me laugh how john assumes i'm ''one of them'' yet didn't realise i've had loads of physio sessions at £45 a time, car insurance has gone through the roof for me and i almost lost my nice easy (but hard labour) job and got moved to somewhere that is non stop work.

also lost 3 days money and 3 months weekend overtime.

Ben don't want you to kick off Joey Essex style here but I find it hard to believe you can't afford £300 extra on insurance when you spent £1200 on interior doors no beef, just saying

interior doors were put on a credit card and joint account, can't exactly spend £1500 on car insurance and expect the missus to go halves

the only way to get compo is to sue her through the civil court.
i agree completely that the police acted correctly, but also agree you deserve compensating by her

Not read the thread but If she's cried rape and it's not true she should be sent down iirc.

I'd have a good go at suing her for everything she's ever earnt or will earn!

You mentioned the police aren't taking any action against her. Did they give you a reason for that?

It seems bizarre that we have a justice system where someone caught not wearing a seatbelt would face consequences everytime they are caught but a woman can make a false accusation to police and walk away scot free

Phone them up and tell them she raped you, let's see if she gets a riot van and armed police to her house

With regard to the chances of prosecuting her - potentially perverting the course of justice, or wasting police time. That will depend on how far she went - recording formal statements, video interviews, medical exams, and also to the DS / DI dealing with the case and the decision to not proceed - ie once they found out it was a false allegation - and the CPS lawyers involved.

With regard to the procedures of arrest - 3 suspects means 6 officers, plus 3 vehicles, plus officers to commence a scene guard and forensic search for evidence - condoms, sheets, bedding etc etc. Armed response would depend on the information she has given to Police - were they carrying weapons ie firearms or just Taser? If taser, that is standard policy for a large number of front-line officers. It will have been a pre-planned arrest based on the information given by her.

with regard to the interviews, forensic swabbing, ie nail swabs, penile swabs, etc, clothing seized, etc etc thats policy for any serious offence ie gbh, rape, sexual assaults, as clothing, swabs etc can provide good evidence.

DNA, fingerprints and photographs are taken on every arrest, regardless of the offence.

I hope you succeed with a compensation claim - you will be extremely lucky to get anywhere with complaining against Police - the arrest was lawful based on information provided, and providing procedure was complied with - as it sounds like it was to me - you will be extremely unlikely.

Private (civil) prosecution for defamation would be your best bet, but if she hasnt got anything to pay with, you will not get anything out of it, other than a legal bill

I'd go straight to the police and press charges. Make stuff up about how you cant sleep at night because of the experience, you almost lost your job, your scared to go near girls incase it happens again etc.
