Yeah it does, the guy is obviously a genius and a very talented man that deserve recognition, but an inventor comparable to great inventors in history he is not

I'm sure he would have been devastated to hear a 30 year old man who lives with his mum and and drives a car older than his girlfriend held him in such low regard.

Most of the great inventors either stole someone else's idea, corrected flaws in existing products or created something new from existing technology. Edison for example did not invent the lightbulb and Baird, whilst certainly transmitting a picture from one place to another, did not invent what we'd all know as a tv.

That wasn't an attack on Steve Jobs btw although I don't think he was a great inventor, more a great designer.

They way things are 'invented' is like that though isn't it. Thomas Edison didn't invent the lightbulb, but he's widely credited for doing so.
I'm not arguing on misconceptions of who invented what, Steve Jobs did not invent the mp3 player.
He was obviously a great mind and massively talented btw, just not at what 99% of people think he was.

I think CorsaDave got the point that I was trying to make across better He didn't invent it, but his company were the ones to shake up the market enough to change the way everyone buys music. Credit where credit's due.

RIP, still shocking although certainly enevitable. Doesnt make it less sad though.
I always regarded him for his innovation and creativity. Not much more than a simple regard, untill i saw that lecture someone posted. Guy seemed to just "get" life like I could only dream of doing.
Inspiration and will be lost RIP.
