its not just about weight, although the fiesta is going to be a nearly 100kgs heavier for the performance model.
new cars drive like they are on stilts,
my swift for example can hardly reach to the middle of the roof when cleaning it.

what good will going to a track do? i drove my puma on the road, the same as my fiesta and in comparison, the fiesta is better.
99% of people dont do trackdays so to 99% of people, the fiesta will be better.

It's 60kg heavier? Have you actually driven the new Zetec S in anger, around a track, to back up the claims you're making?

And another .5% would buy something other than a Puma for a track car.

I think your next purchase should be a Honda Civic EG VTi, Steve. It ticks all the boxes that you seem to like.

No thanks, Steve. That is something that I was going to do to the last one, but it won't be needed unless I sell the Jordan. Must admit I'm temped by an EK9 so it is possible.

The Puma ain't a hot hatch, it's Coupe.
If you want a great handling FWD Coupe, then a Integra DC2 is better. Not very small I know.
At least you can find loads of Puma's in scrap yards.

some people have actually questioned the differences between the two and found it quite close
just most jump on the dc2 because its more widely regarded in those circles.
no idea, the dc2 is very very good if not the best fwd ever
dont take my word for it, just look at some of tiffs early videos about the puma, evo mag rate it v high too

puma gets brilliant fuel economy.
always got 30-35mpg sitting at 80-90mph and on spirited drives.
get better mpg than i do in my 1.25 with 43bhp less.

The looks, spec, performance and handling make up for it though, ben g. Theres a lot of car for the money.
not really, apart from a/c and crap traction control you don't get much else
I was taking the piss, lol. I dont know how any magazine could rate them higher than a hot hatch.

I recon a fully stripped focus tdci st170 lookalike would leave a stripped puma but keep up with a rs megane.
