she was ok tbf, she was light so always accelerated out of corners, therefore the kart was fine so down to the driver

I never complained on the day about the kart and put it down to a lack of talent, but yesterday this kart was like night and day. How can Tom go from lapping me twice in 30 laps to being dead even? I haven't suddenly discovered extra talent. I qualified first in the qualifying so wasn't a case of me getting quicker as the race went on.

Haven't been karting for a few years. Used to be pretty quick, but used to always screw myself by not accepting 2nd or 3rd and making mental moves then either crashing into the other kart or spinning. Did it last time at a mates stag do. Was in 2nd behind a guy who is known to be quite quick. Caught him up with 2 laps to go. Went for a move and clipped him and spun, he fucked off and I got overtaken by 3 others and finished 5th. Was fuming as there were nice trophies handed out too for podium places.

Is annoying when you get a blatently duff kart though but when you see some of the muppets that go out it not a suprise alot of the karts are fucked.

Would love to set up a regular Kart group up here.

I did get the impression the karts at that place are quite badly maintained. We need a proper race on a proper circuit with decent karts - Buckmore, Sandown or Thruxton.

its the best when its wet at the bottom and dry at the top, can go flying past the noobs that spin off due to using their brackes on the bottom corner

I had a big off there at a work event when I was working for Marriott. Went off sideways across the rumble strip in the wet and bounced across some grass into tyres. Fucked up by back. Was awesme tho!

don't for a minute expect the karts to be any better at Buckmore... i did an endurance race there and the one we had was a complete dog... people were constantly hitting the back of me in a straight line.
