Driving without shoes is still stupid, doesn't matter how many weird southerners do it.

Whoever shouts loudest wins though and I'm unfortunately in the sensible minority here.

Back up your statement that 'its stupid' with evidence. Whilst your entitled to your opinion, you're preaching on a subject that you have no authority on other than your own personal opinion. You haven't thus far provided any sort of evidence that 'it's stupid' - You like the sound of your own voice too much, arguing for the sake of arguing

Daft driving with no shoes. The footprint of your trainer is padded, obv, so less chance of you hesitating with brake pressure in an emergancy stop.

Hit the brake wrong in bare feet and it'll fucking hurt!

My opinion after driving extensively with / without shoes is that if driving with no shoes impedes your driving, you must be some sort of retard

I've driven with no shoes on many times, and i've never had an issue. I dont think it's stupid

I've done both and driven on all kinds of A, B and Motorways, fast driving, slow driving, town driving and never once have I thought it impeded my driving or driving abilty. I've never been referred to as a retard and in 11 years and 300,000miles+ of driving - the only accident I've had is when someone ran into the back of my car, which was parked on my drive, whilst I was asleep so I think I'm more than qualified to make an assessment as to whether driving with shoes on or not has any impact on my driving

Peersonally I can't drive with no shoes on much the same as I don't like walking on concrete/Tarmac in bare feet.

Not stupid though, just uncomfortable for me.

What idiot drives about with no shoes on for any length of time

I done it coming back from 5's once when I had took a kick to the ankle and it was fucking weird, your entire perception of how hard to hit the pedals is way out.

Same as moving between cars or wearing different shoes.

It really isn't difficult or dangerous in most situations. Obviously if you get someone who's afraid of pressing the pedals in case they damage their baby soft pinkies you've got another conversation.
