All that gym membership money would be better spent on education.

part of my job is supporting IT in schools, i always see how much more money goes into the referral units and kids with learning difficulties, i often think surely the money would be better spent making good kids better, rather then making shit ones who dont even want to be better, a little better

its the country looking after the stupid, lazy and bone idle that is dragging the uk down.

Highest teenage pregnancy, unemployment, obeseity. And what does the country do, just support these people, its like they are being rewarded for their non-contribution to anything

I see what everyone is saying but at the end of teh day a bit of free gym membership costs the government less than the medical treatment will cost them further on.

It is a backward system but unless they start refusing treatment to smokers and fatties then it will continue.

Also, with all this criticising smokers i'm guessing your all the correct BMI?

People who smoke more than pay for their medical treatment.

When they stop smoking it starts costing the normal taxpayer.

Wasnt aiming at anyone in particular. I just know of people who are overweight but bang on about smokers costing the NHS a fortune.
