heres some of the pics i forgot to put up of how we fitted the seats. turned out to be a right pain in the arse!
thanks to gav93 for the welding:
we planned to use a bit of 2x2 to mount the seat to the OMP subframe, this was then hard to weld to because it was galvanised.
cleaning up the subframe ready for welding
and then cleaning up the runners to weld to the box section on the subframe.
end result:
we then did the same with the drivers seat but used proper 2x1 box section which was much easier to weld to and allowed the seat to be a inch lower.

Looks like your running corsa shafts and cav inners part number for inner cv joint is pj16 incase u need it

All looking good mate.. BUT the harness points are atouch unsafe matey, All's your relying on there is the 3 tac welds that are holding the nuts on.
The spread plates should of been welded in under the skin so it cant pull through in the event of an incident.
Id be changing that fella

a lots happened since last update, sadly no real pictures though.
firstly the oil pump failed when my dad was driving it to work and was driven with no oil pressure for about 4 miles! I thought the engine was gonna be knackered so wasnt in any hurry to fix it.
when i did start taking it all apart i noticed this:
the bloke before me has welded both pulleys together!
ended up having to get the inner pulley new from autovaux so we could time it back up again.
once we had the pump off we found the inners of the pump was bone dry and the oil filter had no oil in it!
put it all back together and didn't sound too bad at all to my amazement, might have a slight tap but sounds as it did before the pump gave up which is all good. just gonna take it careful for a bit to see whats happening.
also bought one of these:
cav master cylinder to sort the brakes out and braided hoses still to be fitted.

got a pulley from a corsa C to fit today, just waiting on the bolts from vauxhall.

Is that pulley single v? Any advangtages for that to standard?

I'd also let someone who can weld do it to. Doesn't look very neat or strong.

its using a corsa alternator thats why im using this type of pulley, no advantages that i know of, think its just either/ or

went on at 9.30 and 10.30 was only at lydden hill. been having oil pressure problems since though to which i found the pressure reflief valve was completely ruined. scratched both inside and out, must have picked up some crap in the sump while i was chucking it around the track.
felt like it needs a lot more work though. needs stiffening up generally, its got FK coil-overs on the front but i might change them as they feel awful round track. Learnt a lot though and was a really good experience. hoping to get a few more done this year.
been thinking about a headlight air vent for some time for track days etc.. and heres how im starting it:
plan is to smooth the inside , paint the outside trim black , fit the induction pipe and use it for RWYB and track days

as of tonight i sorted the oil pressure so at the moment yes. im hoping to get up the strip but still not sure yet, dont want it playing up while going up there and then not being able to get home
