I could give you that info.
For instance I work as a development surveyor for a development company. Dealing with land acquisition and development. Projects range from small housing developments to large mixed use schemes. We work on projects up to around £100million in value
The company is based in the south west and has a good portfolio of property and businesses. I am one of three surveyors working under the director, well alongside him.
Do you have a degree?

£28k per annum imo
I was going to guess exactly that number
Pending the degree information...

Think James meant more the circle of people he was talking to, not off details like the above, for a start nobody outside of their industries know what wages are tbf

I'm in my 4th year if my degree.
To assist, a colleague who does less (property administrator) and has no degree gets 23k

You consume yourself with how much you earn so much that you don't have enough time to go and spend your fortune.

Best way! I earn a lot less than my mates, they all have trades whereas I went to Uni. I get called tight all the time but fact of matter is I have to be as I don't have half as much expendable income as them.

I work for Euro Car Parts in Northampton, have been here for 18 months and sell car parts over the phone to people predominantly in garages. My job title is Sales Advisor which won't help as its a made up bullshit title.

Well if someone that does less than you and has no degree is earning more than £5k less than you, then yes you are being conned! And I have no hope of guessing....

This is not such a lose lose.
Most people earn the same as them = No difference when they tell them.
People who earn less, aren't that far under them - therefore it seems ok (not bragging).
People who earn more them - they don't really care about, as it is life and they're happy on their average wage. Therefore neutral.
Now... if the person is a low earner... telling other people how much they earn, is only ever going to be negative. There is no upside ... either they find out everyone else earns more, or get pitied by other people.
Equally people who earn above average amounts, they get nothing by telling other people. Without even trying it'll seem like they're bragging and will be despised by envious people - therefore not worth disclosing.
...
Therefore... The people who seem to see it as no big deal discussing it in public are most likely the people who fall in the middle - the average salary people.

seems a fair assumption.
any more essays mate?
