I work 12 hour shifts, 6-6 for two weeks at a time. Although being offshore never really feels like your away from work as your still there technically
Worst time was when doing changeover from days to nights, broken sleep for a few days with a fucked body clock.
See alot of servicehands come offshore and theres 1 person for 24 bour cover so they can end up doing some stupid shifts, getting some kip for a few hours until their woken up again as their needed

Most memorable one was three weeks ago.
20 hour shift, 30 min drive to hotel, 3 hours kip, 30 min travel and a 20 hour shift. The other 4 days were 12 hours.
So a nice 88 hour week

Was dying on my day off, Slept for 16 hours which was double to what I normally do. Was a physical job aswell...

Worst thing about doing OT is not seeing it as extra on the payslip.

thats not that bad. Got 2 7 day weeks of 12-12 days once. All that only paid me as much as the qualified guys on normal time as i was an apprentice.
Went back in on normal 8 hour shifts after so did 18.5 days straight. Couldn't do it now mind!

so much utter tripe being written in here but will add mine anyway
during our bi-annual forecast cysles or quarterly external reporting periods my team regularly works form 8/9 - 10ish every night for several weeks on end + weekend working. its hell by the end, everyone catty and argumentative and work starts to suffer after a while
worst ive done personally is in the middle of one of these cycles in Jan 11 whils ti was temporarily staying at my parents... mon/tues worked 9am - 11/midnight, weds worked 9am - 2:30am, thurs worked 9am - 3:30am then drove back to london, took 30 mins finding a parking space and got to bed just before 5am then was in the office from 8am - 10pm. was literally dead by the end of the day and fell asleep on the tube home and ended up back in Central London (stupid circle line ) Got home about midnight that night
few months ago i worked on a friday right until 4am then went to the airport and flew abroad for the weekend, that wasnt so much fun either

6:30am till 8am next day.
Admittedly this was a night shift bolted onto a typical day shift and so after 8pm we did fuck all but it was still work

27 days straight working 0600 to 1800 is worst for having no time off.
Worst shift was a Friday 1800 to a Sunday at approx 0330.

8am - 11pm i think. Then drove home for around 12.30am
I've also started at 10am and got home for 2pm before.
Was when i was working for my old company who didn't pay too well. I wanted the money!
