How about a Z3/4 ///M Roadster/Coupe?

Less weight and bulk, rarer?

Nope not at all. But experience with the model is important looking for overall common problems but tbh any competent mechanic can do it. It's just a car.

Mine never had running in service (E46) and was 100% perfect. Knocking on for 80k then too.

Did you find it easy to sell without that first service James?

Had a few wasters on the phone who didn't want it for that reason despite it being 8years old and far out of warranty. Same people who where put off by corroded alloys (find one that hasn't corroded) and also put off by it not having a full dealer history on an 8year old car.

I still sold it and got great money for it. Just took patience. The problem is they aren't rare in black/red so lots to chose from for buyers

Had exactly the same dilemma, ended up with the s2000. For the money I got a younger car with less miles (less power too granted) but i'm more comfortable under the bonnet of a Honda and like to think i can tackle most things on it. Still have the ///M itch mind...although I think id rather a 5

LSB is awesome. Looks great against Carbon black, really brings the blue out in the paint.

Also love it on a silver one.

Stupidly cheap now, I honestly cannot think of a car that ticks more boxes for the money.
