Oberyn obviously died first, though.
What the fuck was with the beetle story though? Could have done with a couple less minutes of random babbling and a few more minutes of Mountain vs Viper.
At least you got some of the battle. I've had to re read several pages and check I've not missed out a book, such is the lack of detail in the fourth novel

As soon as I saw the giants heading for the gate I was thinking light the barrels of oil and drop them on them but it took them ages to realise that Bit disappointed we didn't actually get to see them fight the giant inside the tunnel

Great episode. Much prefer it not flicking between different stories every 5 minutes.
Thought it was odd how one giant decided to lift the gate up, whereas 2 and a mammoth tried pulling it off. Must be retards.

The Nights Watch are stupid if they don't make the tunnel collapse to stop them getting through next time

Yeah, why not? He seemed like a pretty muscular chap.

thought it was the worst episode yet tbh... far too much focus on one side story and nothing at all after last weeks ending.
very cheaply made and poorly executed too imo series has been a definite disappointment :\

Could have got one of his giant mates to rip some trees up and stuck them under the door to hold it open

Tbh, I blame the books. The end of the third was immense, and I swear GRRM must have ran out of ideas, so he killed 7 big characters without any detail whatsoever and started again. The first 100 pages of the fourth are a clusterfuck of confusion, which without being up to speed on the series, ties in right about where you're all talking about.

Brilliant episode. I liked the fact that it stayed with the Nights Watch for the entire episode, it ensured that the pace was kept up and there was no break to see Sansa crying or Varys being all noble, albeit in a very camp way. Like Ian says, it was like watching a movie and i thought the FX were top notch.
And yes, the scythe/wrecking ball was cool as. I may have got a bit giddy when that bad boy was let loose.

Cheaply made was the last thing it was....
The most epic series of all time IMO in terms of scale.

Just caught up, me and the missus have watched all 39 episodes in 2 weeks, I'm not sure I can go back to a life where I don't have new Games of Thrones whenever I want it

Are all the books written? I need to know what happens and I can't wait til April, I know there's one more episode but still I don't know if it'll be enough
