Watching motd; who from that United side would get in to the big teams? Even in to the squad? Januzaj is a potentially class young lad, but they can't rely on him to do everything. Kagawa, who bizarrely didn't get a chance, is the only decent one currently fit.

I'm not sure that young kid is all that good tbh. Perhaps just shining in a pile of shite.

What is there to say? We didn't play so bad that we deserved to lose 3-1 imo. At the same time we weren't really dangerous up top. Vidic wasn't a red at all, Rafael should have been off the pitch. If vidic hadn't been sent off, would Rafael's yellow been a red? Almost certainly.

It's funny that the papers are saying our title chances are now over, they were dead and buried long before today.

plus if you dont get CL then suspect Rooney wont sign another cotnract and even RVP may decide to go abroad or something (plus will be 31 by end of season). if that happened, youll need an entire new first team practically

Let's not panic that much one poor season doesn't mean we need 11 new starters. It's something we will have to chip away at over a few seasons. If anything we need a new spine of the team. A solid cb who can play consistently through a season, a decent holding midfielder and a striker to eventually replace rooney/Rvp. You don't need 11 superstars to win a league.

Let's be honest the top 4 is as good as we can hope for now, no point even thinking about the title. A 6 point deficit is doable at this stage in the season so that's what we have to aim for as shit as it is

As arsenal have shown us, one signing can change an average team to one that can challenge for a title

i actually think that as much as Ozil helped (in ability and the ambition it showed) clearing out the deadwood and havign a much smaller squad had as big an effect... we are left with (save a few more who will filter out this Summer) a bunch of good players with a good work ethic, decent ability and great spirit... think Utd should follow the same and get rid of the likes of Anderson, Nani etc.

Yeah, I totally agree. I think that's something that again, we will have to chip away at over a few seasons. We have so many players who aren't up to scratch it's unreal and slightly worrying

Agreed. Might then mean we can have Kagawa and Valencia on the wings and Butner at leftback. I don't particularly rate Fellaini at the moment. But it might just work if the other positions are mixed up.

Thoughts on Buttner?

I like him. More of a wingback in my opinion. I'd like him to be given a run of games.

I'd have Kagawa in defence right now.
