Aye, thats true. The team is set up in the traditional (read prehistoric) way to get down the wings and swing crosses in. Neither RVP or Rooney are the sort to attack the ball in that scenario! Thats Andy Carroll shit With the addition of Mata, I'd like to think Moyes will change the way they play when possible. But they have umpteen wingers and not enough central players at the minute.

Yeah I wouldn't mind a change to the style of play. It's a bit predictable now. We seem to have better luck down the wings when Evra gets on the ball in and around the edge of the box than we do with the actual wingers.

There's no fight, no desire any more. That alone can be worth a few points here and there.

What a fucking sham So you buy a ST which should cover you for all home league games but fail to go to a cup game and your ST is suspended for the next league game.

Fuck. That.

Somewhat disappointed after that result, we should of killed it in the first half! Still, we're in the best position out all the English clubs!

As shocking as united are or were. They've probably got more chance than Arsenal to do it

Manchester United players are "bemused" by manager David Moyes' tactics, especially his insistence that the central midfielders stay behind the ball.

We all know they wont sack him. We also all know they should. Its pretty frustrating. Even if he gets the money to spend his tactical approach is so dull that even if he was successful i'm still not sure i'd be a fan.
I was hoping we'd get someone in to develop our passing style to be something similar to whats been happening in spain for the last few years like bayern have done with guardiola and like liverpool have done with rodgers. instead we've gone backwards. We might as well have signed Sam Allardyce. How many times this season have we seen one of our players attack the penalty area with the ball? all crosses from the opposition full back area. He thinks thats wing play. did he ever watch united play before he took over? because thats not what we're about!

Nobody ever attempts to express themselves and whenever anyone attempts anything special he throws his arms up in the air in anger. i remember chicharito attemping a dropping volley in one game. it didnt work out and he missed but fergie wouldnt have reacted like that. MANCHESTER UNITED DAVID!

These things have been going on so long now this season that its got to be deliberate. He's a percentages manager. hit a certain amount of crosses and you'll score a certain amount of goals. He's just anti football. Fergie obviously thought that at everton he played a certain way because he didnt have the players available to do anything more and that he would be able to do different things with a better side. Clearly that was a mistake. I still fervently believe we have a far better squad of players man for man than liverpool. the difference is the quality of the management and coaching at liverpool is vastly better than ours right now.

So what youre saying is that if Fergie was in charge of Everton last season they would have won the league by 11 points?

Sacking the back room staff was a huge mistake. The new guys must have been thinking they had won the lottery when he appointed them.

Different back room staff
Different CEO etc.
Significantly more competitive Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool
Mid-term injuries to Rooney and RVP
Ageing players a year older and closer to end of contracts
Players wondering what else they need to prove at Utd

Just a handful of different circumstances facing Moyes
