JJ - Don't confuse Al-Qaeda with IS. Slight differences.
If anything the IS is strange, because they are not hiding in plain sight and no an underground network. They don't have a uniform but they are using military force to overthrow states in an organised and military fashion to create a new Islamic state/country. They are extreme in their interpretation of a religion and are currently executing all people who will not adhere and conform to their ideology, very much like the Nazi's did!
They are upset with the US because they used drones and airstrikes to wipe out some of their weaponry to enable the safer passage of the Yazidhi people from places they where trapped, whilst Britain is supplying humanitarian aid to the Christians/Muslims/Sikhs etc that are all being murdered for not wanting to follow a made up violent and oppressive interpretation of a religious text. Although that said, I would bet my house that we are there and involved in the action, just not officially.

It appears Al Qaida are simply yesterday's news now really. The terrorist attacks around the world are now just attributed to IS, Al Qaida will be pissed about having IS stealing the limelight and they'll start fistfucking each other violently.

Hostages are a really shit one. I completely understand why you can't give 20 million dollars every time an individual is threatened but that's obviously harsh for the family and demoralising for the nation.I can't see a viable option other than something akin to the carpet bombing oft jested.
Very difficult to irradicate othwrwise.

I aren't going to watch this one. The last one shook me up a bit too much.
Terrible for the family. I hope this sways anymore British people from going out there to help now (I.e so they don't get captured)
Its only a !after of time until the ground war starts.wouldn't surprise me at all if the special forces are already on the ground dictating things (UK and US)
